The 2011 LSU baseball season was a disappointment to fans who have become accustomed to supporting a perennial powerhouse. Despite winning 12 of its final 15 games, the team finished 36-20 (13-17 in the SEC), failing to qualify for the SEC tournament at the end of the season. Now the Tigers hope to turn things around in 2012 and will enter SEC conference play with a 14-3 record.
